What is OneSMS? |

OneSMS offers you a simple, convenient and effective way of getting in touch with 18 different categories of service providers operating in your community. |

How does OneSMS work? |
| |
No more frustrating searches for telephone numbers. Now, when you need to contact any of the service provider categories listed on the magnet, you simply:
* Consult the fridge magnet
* Type in the correct keywords
* Send to 34421 (MTN and Vodacom), or Send to 082 520 5525 (Cell C only) |

What happens when I send a keyword to OneSMS? |

You will receive an sms message with the names and contact numbers of the 6 participating service providers in that category. Simultaneously, the service providers will themselves receive an sms with your contact number alerting them to your need, and they will respond accordingly. |

Is there some way to get an urgent response to my sms? |
| |
In an emergency, indicate to the service providers that it is an emergency situation by adding .now to the end of the keyword: it’s Friday night and your geyser blows… just send one sms with the keyword plumbers.1.now, and a plumber (or six) should contact you almost immediately. |

Is there a cost involved? |

The only cost to a consumer is the sms. The sms to 34421 is premium rated at R2 per sms. |

OneSMS for Service Providers |
| |
|
|
What is the subscription period? |
| |
It is the 3 month period during which the 6 participating subscribers in each service category are entitled to receive service leads. |
| |
|
|
When is the subscription period? |
| |
Every 3 months of the year is a new subscription period. |
| |
|
|
How do I become a participating subscriber? |
| |
By bidding on the auction via SMS or on the website. The 6 highest bidders in each service category at midnight on the closing date become the participating subscribers in the next subscription period. |

When is the closing date? |
| |
The closing date is a date announced by Equip. It is a day approximately 7 days before the end of every Subscription Period. |

Will I be sent a notification of the closing date? |
| |
Yes. Equip will notify all bidders of the closing date by sms 5 days before the closing date. In the 5 days before the closing date, all bidders will also be notified by sms when they enter or exit the top 6 positions in the bid tables. |

Why bid if I do not make the top 6 for a subscription period? Is there another way of becoming one of the 6 participating subscribers? |
| |
Yes you can become one of the top 6 after closure date. Subscribers are entitled to terminate their subscription at any time during the subscription period. Should a subscriber decide to terminate, they will cease to receive service leads. Their place in the top 6 will be taken by the replacement subscriber. |

Who is the replacement subscriber? |
| |
The replacement subscriber is the highest bidder, excluding existing subscribers, in that service category. The highest bidder at the time of termination by an existing subscriber will replace that subscriber. |

When can I bid on the auction? |
| |
You are able to bid on the auction throughout the subscription period. Bidding on the auction is continuous to enable bidders to position themselves as the replacement subscriber. Throughout the subscription period, Equip will ensure that bidders are notified that they have become the highest bidder, or that they are no longer the highest bidder. |

What are the benefits of becoming the replacement subscriber? |
| |
The main benefit is that the bidder becomes a subscriber, and hence becomes entitled to receive service leads as soon as an existing subscriber terminates their subscription. |
