The Service Lead Fee will be fixed for the first 3 month subscription period (1 June to 31 August) only. This gives service providers a reasonable period in which to assess the value that subscription to Citi Services adds to their business while paying the minimum service lead fee. It also gives service providers an opportunity to acquaint themselves with the unique auction mechanism over the 3 month subscription period. The auction mechanism will only become relevant for subscribers towards the end of August (a Service Provider Manual will be sent to you upon registration which describes the service in detail).

Service Providers that register now and qualify as subscribers will participate in the first Subscription Period on the above terms. Citi Services will deliver service leads to a maximum of 6 service providers per area, per service category.

2. Introduction:

In order to become a subscriber to the OneSMS service you first need to register as a User. Only registered Users are allowed to place bids on the system. There is no cost attached to registering as a User. The main advantage of the OneSMS service is that you only pay when you are benefiting from our service, i.e. when you have become a subscriber and are receiving leads. You become a subscriber when your bid is either

* One of the 6 highest bids at the close of business on the Closing Date (every 3 months), or
* The highest bid by a service provider who is not subscribed at the time that one who is subscribed decides to terminate.

From this you can see that even though you may not earn subscribed status at the start of a subscription period you are still active on the auction. This means that you can position yourself to become the next to subscribe before the next subscription period.

The next advantage to our Service Providers is that you can decide the lead fee that is right for you. If you don’t want to pay more than you think our service is worth, you can hold back by placing a bid that you think is fair and could still become subscribed at that lead fee because you remain on the auction as a reserve.

A further advantage already alluded to is the right to terminate. As a subscriber, you are free to terminate your subscription at any time during the 3 month Subscription Period. Once you have terminated, you will stop receiving and paying for leads. The only leads you will be liable for in the current month are those you had received prior to terminating. Your place will be taken in the list of 6 subscribers by that non-subscriber with the highest bid at the time of your termination.

Having terminated (for whatever reason – going on leave, too much work etc), you can only become a subscriber again in one of the 2 ways mentioned above, i.e. by bidding into one of the top 6 positions at the time of choosing the next 6 subscribers, or by holding the highest bid by a service provider who is not subscribed.

3. Subscription Fee:

Explanation:

A subscription makes you one of 6 Service Providers (the Subscribers) who receive leads during a subscription period, for a particular service and Service Community (e.g. locksmiths in Northliff). During this subscription period, subscribers must pay a small monthly fee in advance. Subscription periods last for three consecutive months. During this time subscribers will be sent all the leads for their Service Category/Categories in the Service Community/Communities.

To receive leads from more than one Service Community you would need to subscribe to each Service Community separately.
*Please note that all prices listed are excluding VAT

4. Lead Fee:

4.1 Explanation:

Just as it sounds, the lead fee is what Subscribers pay per lead that they receive. This cost is payable irrespective of whether or not a Subscriber gets business from the lead, and this is the fee that Service Providers choose according to the value you as a Service Provider place in a business lead. Lead fees require a VAT charge to be levied on the fee chosen by Service Providers.

Service Providers’ choices of Lead fees decide who will become Subscribers, and who will be the next substitute should a paying Subscriber terminate. To streamline this process we have a Service Category Auction mechanism whereby Service Providers bid prior to each subscription period. At the close of a certain date the bids are used to determine who the 6 Subscribers will be (the top 6 as at close of business on the ‘Closing Date’) and how much each will pay as a Lead Fee (the amount that they thought the leads were worth to them and which they submitted as their final bid in the auction process).

You will need to place bids in all Service Communities and across all Service Categories that you wish to subscribe to.

4.2. Restrictions:

A bid on an auction is subject to the rules of that auction. The rules will impose the following restrictions on what will be lead fees:

1. Minimum bid: no bids lower than the minimum bid will be accepted.
2. Maximum bid: although not always specified, if it is then no bids higher than the maximum bid will be accepted. Equal bids are sorted by date and time submitted.
3. Minimum bid increment: any bid not incremented by a factor of this value (starting at the minimum bid value) will not be accepted.
